Tributes to OYO

Hi Barbara - Just wanted to let you know how much OYO is coming to mean to Lian. She comes home from rehearsals grinning from ear to ear, singing non-stop, talking about how much she's enjoying getting to know the other musicians, and how well they play. Hi Barbara:

I hope that this year's OYO is the best ever.  We enjoyed being a part (a listening part!) of OYO for the short time Lauren participated.  She loved the experience, as you know all of the kids do.  I just wanted to let you and OYO know that Lauren auditioned in September and was accepted into the Columbia University Orchestra.
 
The high level of performance and diligence from Michael Morgan, Brian Nies and you helped Lauren be able to continue her musical experience while in college.

I want to thank you again for all the wonderful music OYO brought to our daughter and to our family.

Dear Barbara,

When Sarah and I went though her OYO music from the last three years (whoops) we made a list of the music before we returned it to you. She starred those pieces for which she would like the music (and that was just about all of them). Now when I look back over the list I am amazed by the diversity and breadth of the musical experience that she had at OYO. Jesse and I would like to thank you and the conductors for the broad and varied musical experience she had in OYO.

I don't know if you heard, but Sarah was chosen as principal horn in orchestra and wind ensemble at Luther College. The music is challenging but doable. But she misses OYO, the kids, and the conductors.

Again, thanks for the memories and experience of OYO!
